Responsible for marketing the services of Cyber Insurance Solutions to the Property and Casualty Insurance sector and finding strategic partners to form mutually beneficial relationships.
President of and owner of Canadian Underwriters for Licensed Establishments (CULE)
CULE was a MGA specializing in Liquor Hospitality Insurance. At a time when liquor liability was difficult to obtain, Ken started CULE to service the hospitality market with rating based on consumption as opposed to receipts.
This gave high-end establishments a better method of achieving affordable insurance.
Canadian President of Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA)
SIAA is a US based agent network created to help smaller agencies grow and access specialty markets through a network of large regional agents.
SIAA’s network encompasses the entire US and has a membership of over 1200 agents.
President of Omega General Insurance
2003-2005
Omega is a specialty company focused on assisting companies and brokers with “balance sheet” solutions for retrieving assets after exiting Canada. This ensured that any outstanding claims were paid and that the public was looked after following an insurers departure from Canada.
VP General Accident Insurance/AVIVA
Started Brokers Online Underwriting Service (BONUS). Was responsible for selecting the Brokers to qualify for BONUS, hired the underwriters to be located in the brokers office and set the underwriting rules oversaw the success of the program.
BONUS outperformed the traditional commercial departments with results that consistently exceeded premium goals with much lower that company average loss ratios.
BONUS was the first such program in Canada and enjoyed tremendous success for GA/AVIVA and the brokers.
It was the prototype for several such programs in use today.
President of Crum and Forester of Canada
Was responsible for the overall management of the company including underwriting, marketing, claims and loss control.
Crum and Forester enjoyed excellent growth and underwriting results during my tenure.
Crum and Forester was sold to General Accident when the owners (XEROX) decided to concentrate their resources to the US.
INSURANCE BUREAU OF CANADA
Was hired by the IBC as special liaison to handle disputes between the insurance industry and the general public.
