Steve Prentice

In this economy, it’s good to wear many hats. In my case, these hats have a common thread, which is about people and work. I have built up substantial expertise in my careers in the areas where people and technology interact. That’s why I am repeatedly called upon to speak or write about technology issues such as cybersecurity, remote work and virtual reality. I am also passionate about people.

I am a specialist in organizational psychology, with a focus on how humans learn how to deal with change and technology in the workplace, in person and remotely as individuals, team members and/or leaders. I worked with a wide range of organizations over my career, helping to establish best practices for workplace productivity and employee retention. I have worked with governments, major banks, tech titans like Cisco and SAP.

Primarily I work as a keynote speaker as well as an emcee for company events.

My love of words has also allowed me to become a published author, not only for my own books, but as a ghostwriter for others, who have a book, a blog, or an article inside them but not the time to produce it.

I am also a visiting lecturer at Ontario Tech University, a new university already enjoying an enviable reputation as a future faced, high-tech, and socially responsible institution. I teach courses in management excellence, workplace innovation and change management – courses that I have developed and which are based on my work.

These are all variations on the same theme – communicating a message about people and work.
